Ramnabami’

The Biman lying on the top of the temple is 30 tons. On the extreme top of the temple there is lying a discus of Vishnu. It was found from the river Godabari.
In the seventeen century this teretory was ruled by Kutabsahi. An old man gopanna by name was chief of landed estate or property. He was devotee of Ram. Wityout knowledge of sultan he secretly built such a temple beautiful to look at spending 6 lakhs of rupees at that time. At this he was apprehended due to spending the rent collected by the name of Sultan and have to spend a long period in the jail. Kutabsahi kept him in the Golkunda jail for a long time. It was known that during his imprisonment one day suddenly an unknown Brahmin appeared in the court of Kntabsahi and repaid that 6 lakhs rupees. Gopanna was freed. The local inhbitants still believe that, Sri Ramchandra came in disguise of Brahmin and paid the dues of kutabsahi and freed him. Later on Gopanna was well known as “Ramdas”, devotee of Ramchandra and acquired much respect of his country men. Every 60 year there organized the ‘Mahasamrajja Patta Avishek’ festival. At that time marriage ceremony of Sri Ramchandra and Sitadebi arranged gorgeously. On the ocation of the festival not only South India, from different parts of India also the followers of Ram gather there in lakhs. The fair continued for a month. Every year there maintained ‘Ramnabami’ festival gorgeously. Throughout the day there occurred worship, prayer and also burnt offering.

Everyday the doors of the temple remain open from 4.00 in the morning to 1pm and from 3.00pm to 9.00pm for visiting of the devotee and affering puja.
